Rodolfo or Rudolph, Schuller was a linguist who studied Mexican, Central and Southern American Indians. He served on the faculty of the National University in Mexico City. A large collection of his ethnological studies and photographs were acquired by Tulane University, in the 1920s shortly after Schuller moved to New Orleans.
